Radegast 1.12 Released

Radegast version 1.12 has been released.

Highlights of this release: it  ships with the Speech plugin (thanks Mojito for the great work on it!) and features improved keyboard shortcuts in hope it would improve Radegast’s accessibility. Lots of new and improved functionality, for the complete list see release notes below.

  • [RAD-47] – rework tab navigation to adopt a firefox like set of shortcut keys
  • [RAD-48] – Add multi line paste capability in chat input fields
  • [RAD-68] – add scroll bar for profile picks and 1st life tab
  • [RAD-70] – Selectable option to suppress login graphic
  • [RAD-72] – Add ability to see other people’s groups on the profile page
  • [RAD-73] – Add abilty to join open enrollment groups
  • [RAD-74] – Double click on avatar name in the “radar” should open avatar profile
  • [RAD-75] – Double clicking on a group member should open their profile

  • [RAD-78] – Inventory needs copy/cut/paste for moving items
  • [RAD-46] – Need an event on window open/close
  • [RAD-58] – Add ability to auto-reconnect on lost connection.

Bug Fixes

  • [RAD-27] – Duplications in ContextMenu choices
  • [RAD-50] – When closing group chat, not possible to open it again.
  • [RAD-51] – In profile, partner name often shows wrong name
  • [RAD-53] – Crash with console output
  • [RAD-55] – Moving folder will lose contents temporally.
  • [RAD-61] – Search places does not clear list of a new search, or switching pages
  • [RAD-67] – Avatar names missing from group chat logs.
  • [RAD-82] – If I accept a landmark from a group notice or if I receive a landmark from someone, Radegast gives me a choice of quitting or continuing, as though it wants to crash.

Don’t forget that .NET framework version 3.5 or newer is required on Windows and Mono 2.4 and newer on Linux. You can download this release from our downloads page.

    hi anychance you can update the client by adding chat logging features i.e. im and chat logs like you can in full client.

    also an event search would be great.

    i detected a crash. the client will crash if you try to “play” the parcels streaming audio on the land settings page it seems.

    other then that great software!

    also this is a personal note. do you have an email? please email me back at kgiris2005 (at) gmail.com if you could. would like to keep in touch i am a 28 male from the US. i am having comptuer graphics card issues so just in case i have futher problems i figure id try out a sl text client. :-D yours is nice!

    I use Radegast for the bot plugin as a greeter in my Second Life sims but found I couldn’t edit the AIML files so I contacted Grant on the forums at MakeAiml to ask if he could make a bot editing plugin. At first he told me no but then came back to me and said he would have a go. As of now this is still in progress.
